A New Field of Bioethics?

What do you think?  Is queer bioethics a new academic discipline?  If so, is it one we can hope not to need at some point in the future as tolerance increases, etc.?

  1. I’m more interested in a broader, more epistemically and ethically pluralistic conception of what makes for “bioethics” along the lines, for example, outlined by Grant R. Gillett, a neurosurgeon and professor of medical ethics, in his book Bioethics in the Clinic: Hippocratic Reflections (2004).
